Is it Worth Reading? Life After Legend by Marie Lu

"I have known you, a long time ago. I don't know where, but i think i know why. [...] i've been searching a long time for something i think i lost"

Yes people! i'm bringing you back all the novellas from Legend series, this time i will talk about the Life after Legend, and this time it will be a quite special than the other is it worth reading series, because I found out that we got TWO Life After Legend novellas, one is the one with the cover that i show you as our main picture for this post, the one with Day's POV for the last chapter of the Champion. And the other one is called as Life After Legend II, which take places not in Republic but in Ross City, Antartica. And today, i will review BOTH of them.

Reading Order

As i mentioned before, this one is AFTER the Legend series, which in goodreands labeled as number 3.5 for Life after Lengend, and 3.75 for Life After Legend II.

I find that not everyone knows about this second chapter, i also struggle to find this one but happy when i finally read it.

What is it All About?

The first Life after Legend, like i said before is talking about Day's POV when meeting June again 10 after he leaves Republic to Ross City Antartica, he was back to Republic for the first time in order to accompany Eden because he has received an internship for remodeling the old trial stadium and barracks into a hospital, new university and museum.

This encounter already included in Champion with June POV. Day who is suffering for lost memory, don't know about June but still remember about his older life and Eden as his family member. But still missing something in her life, the girl with dark hair, and find who is she when he met June accidentally in Republic.

"It's her. The girl from my dreams."
Day

The Second Life after Legend talks about June and Day in Ross City, talking about Eden, the Elector that once dated June, and finally confessing each other love.

"No matter what goes wrong, you're a constant, and so am i. We'll both still be here. [...] I love you, that has always been my constant"

Is It Worth Reading?

I got to say, the first Life After Legend ends the same exact with the end of the Champion, so we dunno about what's after, still an open ending, but at least we got the glimpse of Day's POV which i really love and appreciate. The Second Life after Legend is more far far away from the timeline, and they finally like officially dating.

My Verdict

I have split opinion about this two. I'll go to Read it for the first Life After Legend, and Skip it for the second Life After Legend. Probably because i've read Rebel while i write this blog, because the second Life after Legend doesn't really relate again, and i just can't put it in terms of where to put this one in the timeline, because it's definitely created in order to satisfy the reader for the open ending in Champion series, but with Rebel released, this one become like a loose story with no connection with the others. As for the First Life After Legend, it still shows the relation with the whole series and just complete the story with Day's POV in it.
