Hello everyone! This would be my last review for the Chronicles of Ixia series, which i find it a bit sad because i just need more about this series. As you probably might know already i'm such a big fan for Maria V Snyder's books specially this Chronicles. Of course i can't wait for the next adventure of her other works (two series so far) i just can't wait to get them in my shelf. But enough for that, let's get into the review!

Reading Order

If you have been reading my review from the Shadow Series, you probably already know the reading order of this long chronicle, but in case you are like me (a lazy one, tired of going back here and there) here's a quick reading order for you. The Chronicles of Ixia consist of 3 series, Study Series, Glass Series, and Soulfinder Series. All is in order (novellas included) until the 2nd book of glass series - Sea Glass - you have to read the prequel of Soulfinder series first ( Ice Study ) before continuing the last book of the Glass Series (Spy Glass). After that, here's the reading order to you

What is it All About?

This novella obviously set after the whole Chronicles of Ixia, after the almost war between Ixia and Sitia, after Yelena giving birth to Baby Liana. The story set in Ixia when Yelena and Valek with Baby Liana visiting Ixia, and leave Liana to Janco to babysit. While babysitting Liana, Janco got distracted and lost Liana, and sensing of magic in use in Ixia which is illegal. Got lured by that, Janco got trapped by ambush set by the magicians what actually a test by Onora for Janco to see if he will go with the procedure. 

Is It Worth Reading?

 At first, i thought, by the title of the novella, this would be a lay down read of Valek struggling to babysit Liana, changing diaper and stuff, turns out that it's more about small adventure of Janco. Which i don't complain, because i love Janco. But i was expecting a bit progress in Janco and Onora relationship, but turns out not mentioned in this story. But Onora definitely has a great leadership showed in this book, how she can control Janco who is not really good at following orders, specially from Onora.
