My Rating System
Hello everyone! Welcome! You might click this page out of curiosity or maybe because i mention it already in my review several times that made you want to click it.
So after three months writing in this blog i decided that i want to made my own rating system. Why? because i think i keep repeating myself, in goodreads account, then to my bookstagram and now to my blog. I want to made something new yet describing the actual feeling while rating the book i've read.
So i started from the book review of Lady Renegades for my rating system, so if you find some reviews that still got stars in my review then you are reading the older than that one. I decided to not edit my post that i've already posted because i want to keep it real (or you can read : because i'm a lazy person kkkk)
Anyway, without further ado, this is my rating system :
I have TWO rating system in my blog, the first one is the main one, the one for my book reviews and the second one is solely for "Is It Worth Reading?" series.
First is the Main Rating system for books i've read :
1. Nah for book that got me a lot of struggle while finishing it, and kind of not enjoying it while i read it.
2. So-so for book that it's okay but not enough for me, took me awhile to finish.
3. Uh Yeah! for books that really made me hype to read them till the last page of the book, but still a bit lack in some aspect somehow.
4. Woot Woot! for books that super duper fast for me to read and i enjoy reading it, full marks for every aspect.
So as you can see, my rating system is based on how fast i read the book, do i suffer while reading it or do i enjoy it a lot. The reason why i made this system is because i already said what i like and i don't like while reviewing the book, so i think i don't need stars to rate them anymore, but more to the feels that i got while reading it.
Rating For Is It Worth Reading Series :
This second rating system SOLELY for the Is It Worth Reading Series, so you wont meet this one in my normal reviews and other series.
I probably have to mention that all my rating system, Nah in my main rating system doesn't mean that book is bad, just mean i don't enjoy it, or it's slow for me to finish it. And also, Skip it in my Is it Worth Reading series doesn't meant that that book is a bad book. Skip it means that you can skip it, doesn't mean i hate the story, i can still love them but i just don't think it's related to the main story at all so you can save your time instead reading it.
So, in other language, i no longer rate the book i read by "this is great! read it!" or "Ugh i hate this book" anymore, it's more to how i feel while i read it, do i enjoy it, is it slow for me or fast to finish. Because i already said which i like and i don't like in the book in the review, so it's up to you as the reader to judge is it good enough for you to read, is it your style, because i believe each person has their own way to judge their book so i don't give you a doctrine or paradigm for that book by how many stars i gave it to them. Also i believe since i have an unique taste, a good book for me doesn't necessarily be a good book for you too. Of course in the review i might say, i would recommend you to read it, but it's not necessarily mean you have to, again, it's by your own perspective.
Of course you can still see my rating in stars by checking out my Goodreads account or my bookstagram account, actually i provide direct link in every book review for my bookstagram account by clicking the picture of the book in my review post (Yes i'm such a provider for you because i know how lazy people, because i'm that lazy, so i tend to provide easy way for my reader. Am i not merciful? lol!)
Anyway, i hope you find it fun to read my review as much as how fun i write them (or should we call it "type"?). If you have any more questions, feel free to comment or DM me, i'll be happily explain it to you. Happy reading!
