“Wisdom can be gleaned from any source if only one looks hard enough.”
― Odin ―
Hello readers! Welcome back to another chapter of "Is it worth reading?" series. Who knows that i've reach chapter twenty three for this series already! In this series (if you new here) i will read novella or companion books from certain series and judge whether you should read it or skip it since i've done it, you don't have to. Without further ado, let's go!
Reading Order
1. The Sword of Summer (book 1)
2. Hotel Valhalla, Guide to the Norse World (optional)
3. Hammer of Thor (book 2)
4. Ship of the Dead (book 3)
5. 9 from the Nine Worlds
What is it All About?
The book based on Thor doing marathon around nine worlds, which in each world we encounter with Magnus' friends and their adventure. The book start from Asgard with Odin as the main story teller, continue to Midgard with Amir Fadlan, Nivadellir by Blitzen, Alfheim by Heartstone, Jotunheim by Sam, Helheim by TJ, Nilfheim by Mallory, Vanaheim by Halfborn and Muspellheim by Alex.
Is It Worth Reading?
I personally like the Thor's appearance in each world in the mid of each character adventure in their world than their adventure itself. Thor somehow become the scene stealer tho he just appeared like in a sentence or two in each of the story but he's so funny! Yes he is annoying at few books in the main story but in here he just funny.
My Verdict
I think i will go with Read it. Not just because it's a fun read, but also the timeline is set after the magnus chase series end, but you still got the glimpse of their lives. Specially Mallory and Halfborn love story, they are just too cute.
