Is it Worth Reading? A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J Maas
January 02, 2021"I have to create, or it was all for nothing. I have to create, or I will crumple up with despair and never leave my bed. I have to create because I have no other way of voicing this.” Her hand rested on her heart,[...] “It is hard, and it hurts, but if I were to stop, if I were to let this loom or the spindle go silent …Then there would be no Hope shining in the Void.”

Hello everyone! New year already, yet i still giving you a review for book i read last month. hehet! be patient with me, we will get through all of the 2020 reads soon.
Anyway, i'm back with another Is it Worth Reading Series which become the most chapters i've made in comparison with other series. What can i do? Lots of Novellas to read and to catch up. Okay let's dive in!
Reading Order
This book is part of A Court of Thorn and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, which labeled ad 3.1 in our book bible Goodreads. Usually, if it's between the main work, it suppose to be 3.5 if it's between the third and fourth book, but since goodreads said that there will be another novella labeled as 3.2 which by the time i type this review still untitled, so i guess we will meet another novellas before the fourth book (which already released, or at least, the ARC of it and already open for Pre-order) which called A Court of Silver Flames, which i already count it as the second season of this whole series since the main character i believe is no longer Feyre but her sister Nesta (which again i don't mind because i like her). But it's another story to tell, let's just focus for this novella shall we?
What is it All About?
In the middle of rebuilt the city, Feyre who still trying to cope from trauma she got from the war, find a studio which suit for her hobby of painting. Elain in other hand burying herself in the garden. Rhysand who also trying to keep the peace between courts in Prythian including visiting Tamlin in Spring Court who just being miserable one after lost Feyre, the one he loves.
Is It Worth Reading?
I got to say, after the thrilling read in third book i was expecting something for this novella. I know many people advise me to skip this novella, but the book is just pretty and i got it for cheap price for a hardcover, and beside, this is the last book with this design since the next book would be look super bad in my opinion.
But the whole series is only focusing on the celebration of Winter Solstice which happened to be Feyre's birthday too. And yeah it's include an adult scene too tho it's a thin book (which i would gladly skip if the author decide to exchange it with another continuation relationship between Elain and Lucien also Azriel, and also Nesta and Cassian).
My Verdict
I would suggest you to just skip it. This book definitely not really related to the third book. I was expecting (again) Cassian and Nesta after that in-the-edge-of-death-light-kiss scene, but turns out there's nothing about it. And Lucien and Elain relationship just felt going back step in this book.
