Hello everyone! It has been a long time since i post a book tag post (in fact i only did it once) so i think in order to make it a bit balance in this blog i will post a book tag today! This book tag is probably everyone already know and like, since it's Harry Potter related, i stumbled upon this book tag because i read Fictiontea's blog (i know her by bookstagramming), and i think well why not doing it?

EXPECTO PATRONUM | A childhood book connected to good memories?

Surprisingly, or maybe not, i don't read a lot of book in my childhood, i read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire when i was i think in the end of my middle grade or early high school i can't even remember, and that one introduce me to the binge read whole series (except the last book since it hasn't been released yet at that time) which took me by surprise that i turn out a book nerd because i spend a lot of time by myself at my room for days.

And that was a good memories to me. Yeah, to shallow, but well.. i really love that moment.

EXPELLIARMUS | A book that took you by surprise?

I would choose The Little Prince for this one. It took me by surprise because, i thought it will be just a middle grade read, kind of a fairy tale kind of book but turns out it's actually for a grown up reader for me, it's a kindly reminder for what we've left out since we become "adult" and it's really easy to read, also took me by surprise because i read it in one sitting.

I was a super slow reader that 100 pages book need days to finish that time, this book is such a page turner and the kind of book that left that fluttery feeling once you finish it, you know what i mean?

PRIOR INCANTATO | The last book you read?

I'm currently reading Lady Renegades by Rachel Hawkins, the third book of Rebel Belle series. I'll do the review soon so keep an eye for it. But the last book i read was The Fork, The Witch and the Worm by Christopher Paolini, look at my review about it here in case you missed it out

ALOHAMORA | A book that introduced you to a genre you’d never considered before?

This would be It's Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini.

I remember i got this book because i really like the cover, yellow so bright and the title, turns out it's about mental illness book, at first i was kind of like, "Okay i probably not gonna like this kind of genre".

But i got curious about this genre and start collecting them, starting from The Perks of Being a Wallflower (okay, this one is because i watched the movie first starring Logan Lerman - My Love- so maybe it doesn't really count) also Everything Everything, Under the rose tainted skies and soon.

I kind of really like reading Mental Illness book right now, which in state i can say as "willing to explore and dig in" kind of state.

RIDDIKULUS | A funny book you’ve read?

Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging by Louise Renninson. This reminds me of a book that my friend asked me to read because his brother gave her this book as a birthday gift and i think it's funny. That would be my first rom-com contemporary books i've read, i really like the comedy of it, specially the special terms that i discover like "nungas", hah! even remembering it made me chuckle.

At first i don't really get why my friend's brother gave her that book, but it's a coming of age kind of book, super witty and funny yet really related to me (or us, me and my friend) at that time.

SONORUS | A book you think everyone should know about?

Study Series by Maria V Snyder I think i've been talking about this author a lot, and i still can't stop to talk about it. I definitely suggest you to read it if you haven't. This author is underrated but i love love her a lot. I really like her way to develop the characters she created, i just love them.

OBLIVIATE | A book or spoiler you would like to forget you ever read?

That would be Rick Riordan's Blood Of Olympus. If you know me, I. HATE. SPOILERS. Any kind of spoilers, how tiny it is, even like "I don't like the ending" which mean something not good, probably bad ending, that made me overthink everything, you know?

So I know some friends who already read this series when i haven't. One of them said "I like this series except the last book. I HATE the last book." when she was doing a bookshelf tour, and i was like, okay, not a good ending then, and that's the start of my overthinking, and less enjoyment in every page of that last book because i expect "something not good" in the story, maybe someone dead or something? and i hateeee myself for it, because in the end i kind of like the ending but i already felt anxiety all over the place in every page i turn.

IMPERIO | A book you had to read for school?

Well the thing is, my country, or at least, my school didn't really asked student to read whole book or even a book except their curricular book, so i don't think i read any by teacher request, but i remember i read Socrates in 90 Minutes in my school library, and also other philosophers like Aristotle and Plato and i pretty like it.

If i can bend this question a bit into "A book you read IN School" not because the school asked me but i read it in the middle of class (in secret, yes i'm that wicked) that would be Eragon Series. I remember my friend called me crazy because i read it in the class while my teacher teaching. I read the Eragon back then.

CRUCIO | A book that was painful to read?

That would be Mein Kampf by Aldof Hitler. I still haven't finish this book yet, i started it in November last year. Okay, this is my defense, at first i was intrigued of his character, you know, the meanest, most villain person ever alive in this real world. So i kind of curious about him since many of film also talking about him or Nazi even some fictions like Captain America. Out of curiosity,i look for any book that might be talking about his biography, then i find that he, himself, wrote a book, turns out that book is kind of become "the bible" for the Nazi. I got curious, of course, so i read it.

The first few chapter was fine, because he's such a writer. Plot twist here and there, but i didn't get what i looking for, the answer of why he hates Jews a lot. He did said that they're manipulative and bla bla bla. I just don't see it become deep reason why he hates them. So i keep reading, the next few chapter just full of hatred for jews, and then other race, and more about lecture, no longer autobiography but a book for some Nazi school should read kind of vibe you know? so yeah i struggled.

I will finish this book, definitely, in fact i already like 75% in progress and since i have this OCD that just can't DNF a book because i have to finish what i've started, i will finish this book, hopefully not that long to take? but we'll see.

**AVADA KEDAVRA | A book that could kill (interpret as you will)?**

I would interpret it as literally as it is. I would pick Life and Death by Stephenie Meyer. It just think, hard cover , and soooo heavy! I think you can self yourself from trouble by using it.

Contemporary Book Recs

As a big fan of Fantasy books i rarely read contemporary, probably around 20% of my yearly reading? But to be honest i start collecting a lot of contemporary books at first. I talked about it tho in my podcast, so if you haven't listen to it just try it, link in my socials). Starting with contemporary books made me have a collections of contemporary books in my shelf, that i decided i won't unhaul them (yes i did unhaul some contemporary books back 2017 or was it 2018? i'm not sure anymore, anyway i decided i won't collect contemporary books anymore, which i still read anyway even now although it's probably 10% from my 2020 reads), so... long story short, these are books that i would totally recommend you to read.

1. The Fault is in Our Stars by John Green

I talked a bit about this book in my previous posts (John Green in Author in deep series and Book With Mental or Physical Illness book recs) and i just feel it just fair to recommend it to you in case you haven't read it.

This book follows Hazel, who got tumor, her parents think she's in depression that made her go to support group, there she met Gus who is a former basket ball team, an amputee, lost half of his leg due to bone tumor and his best friend Isaac who in the edge of the probability going blind.

The story about Hazel and Gus adventure to meet Hazel's favorite author who wrote a book with such a cliff hanger ending, in hope to find whether the author might give them a sneak peak about the story after the book or alternative ending or anything!

This book is one of the best contemporary book i've ever read, and yeah, i read it because i've watch the movie first.

2. The Perks of Being Wallflower By Stephen Chbosky

Again, this seems to be fair to mention this book since i forgot to mention it in the previous book recs for mental illness). This book also already adapted to the movie, starring Logan Lerman and Emma Watson. Of course i watched the movie first then read the book.

The story follows our wallflower Charlie, who writes letter for "his friend" like a diary, being invincible in school, with famous sister who ignores him anyway in school. Somehow he become friend with Patrick "the nobody" and his sister Sam, which then they discover that he's a wallflower.

i really like the book, specially i'm proud of the cover that i got. I can't really pick which i like the most, the movie or the book, so be sure to read and watch them both.

3. Eleanor and Park By Rainbow Rowell

I guess this is the first book of Rainbow Rowell that i read, which later lead me to a whole reading session to her other books, all because of the blurb that John Green did to this book that made me decide to start this book.

This book follows Park, a Korean student, meets Eleanor, a girl with red hair. I really like the story, how they reading book in bus, exchange their favorite books to each other, it just a really good book for a book lover, just like John Green's blurbs.

I still think this book is worth reading for a book lover, young love, and that ending tho, won't said it, just read it.

4. Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella

If you are a fan of book with witty main character, this one is for you, it just a fun read, light but in other side also include some PTSD element on it (for me at least). Again i'm questioning myself why i didn't include this book in my mental illness post, lol! sorry guys.

This book is about Audrey, who can't leave her house, never take off her sunglasses (or any dark glasses). Yes she got some issues, but she is a witty person, funny and it's really interesting to read her point of view in the book.

She meet his brother friend, Linus who came to her home almost everyday and he help her to get back to the world.
