Hello friends! Welcome back to another chapter of  "The Perks of Third Book" series where i will compare the third book with the other two before it and judge by the end of the book if i like the third book better than the other two merely because i love number three, or is it because of the finale of the series, or maybe i don't like the third book the most in comparison with the other two before it. Without further ado, let's dive in!

A Quick Flashback

Invasion of Kerenza IV lead by BeiTech industry in order to cover their crime, not only leave the Kerenza IV survivor who running away with the help of UTA's Alexander fleet (along with the survivor in Hypatia and Copernicus fleet) running away with Lincoln pursuing behind them, but BeiTech also launch another mission in Heimdall the jump station that the survivor of Kerenza IV headed. 

Alexander Fleet lead by General Torrence with AIDAN as their artificial intelligence that help the other two fleet to run away from the Karenza IV heading to Heimdall station. But due to the battle with four dreadnought from BeiTech, AIDAN got hit that made damage in the Alexander fleet, not only the jump platform in the Alexander got damaged that made them can't jump right away to Heimdall Station, but also damage several part of AIDAN. 

With AIDAN being weird, and also scientific bio weapon (virus) that growing in Copernicus, Kady, our lead main character not only have to survive from the virus but also have to deal with AIDAN the Artificial Intelligence in order to survive and save the other people in Hypatia fleet.

In other hand Heimdall station also invaded by BeiTech team in order to stop the Kerenza survivor to relay the information about the invasion that BeiTech has done. Hanna's father being the leader of the jump station was being killed in process. Refuse to surrender to them, Hanna going underground running here and there strategizing how to outsmart them with the help of Nik and Ella, the criminals. Not only have to fight the invader, Hanna also has to deal with a monster that got loose which not only can cause a hallucination but also a deadly creature. 

Synopsis

After two different adventure in two previous books, the adventure in space in first book, another adventure in jump station as a big wormhole in the second book, we go back to the place where it started : Kerenza IV.  After the war between AIDAN and other four dreadnought from BeiTech, the planet that we think that already vanished, turns out still stand, with Kerenza people still in it but colonized by BeiTech's army. 

BeiTech is currently loading Hermium that mined in Kerenza by Kerenza people that unable them to use one of the jump platform that illegally created by BeiTech : Magellan to jump and leave all the Kerenza people to extinct. Kady and Hanna who survived from Heimdall station with Mao vessel going to Kerenza thanks to stress signal that Asha, Kady's causin that was expectes to be dead and Rhys a specialist in BeiTech who just recently got reassigned to kerenza. Will Kady and Hanna be able to arrive to Kerenza on time while the Mao also met a lot of trouble like overcrowded and also lack of soldier?

Comparing Each Book In Series

I think i've made quite a long statement by the previous two segment of this series that i was scared that i wrote too much in the previous books that i have nothing to say in this part since i've said it already, so if i accidentally said same things, please kindly understand it. 

Plot

This series, unlike most series i've met before, are set it three different places, different stories, different main characters, but still the plot by the timeline is continuing in one to another.  Kady start the adventure with her struggle to fight not only the incoming attack from the Lincoln, but also the virus that has been spreading in the Copernicus and Alexander, PLUS the AIDAN that has been acting super strange. 

Successfully defeat the Lincoln, the adventure hasn't end yet, with the Heimdall that being invaded Kady again meeting the second attack, Hanna in other hand not only has to outsmart the BeiTech group, but also avoiding the dangerous monster in same time, finding the biggest betrayal, and encounter the other universe version of Nik and try to return to the right person in the universe is also the challenge. Getting away with the Mao (fleet that BeiTech use to get into the Heimdall at first time to take control of the station) and going back to Kerenza IV.

Asha, being in Kerenza IV along with other civilian that survive in Kerenza forming the group trying to stop BeiTech's plan to fill the Hermium to Magellan so they can't jump. Magellan also has better army and fighters in comparison with Mao. Asha has to find a way to keep the Kerenza people save specially the little mouse, a kid that has been secretly living among the colony but unregistered.

Characters Development

I think in terms of development we can talk about Kady and Ezra also Hanna and Nik the most since we only met Asha and Rhys in this book so we can't really tell about their development, but we will talk about them anyway. 

Kady herself from just a highschooler who is really good with IT, become the lead of IT in Mao fleet, not only helping with Heimdall citizen to defeat BeiTech group, but also working along with AIDAN who become the main card of their successful in each attack but also able to control AIDAN.

Ezra who was just a high school student, become the army in Alexander, and young air wing leader in Mao. He of course being questioned by Heimdall people that survived in Mao, being too young to lead and train chimera fighters in Mao, he even got a cute nickname : babyface for it.

Hanna in other hand, after successfully defeat BeiTech group in Heimdall just lost herself after it in Mao, she got nothing to do, can't really know what to do with Nik, who once she kissed but that was the other Nik from another universe. Nik is trying to get her in line, saying that what happened in there and here are just the same, but it just not what Hanna think.  But thank God she got into her role in the end of the book for being the one who set the strategy to face Magellan in Kerenza. 

In other hand, Nik being the criminal in Heimdall didn't easily accepted in Mao. Ezra wants him to be fighters in chimera, but with his records, it just didn't came easily, but the sort of fighters in Mao is hard to be ignored. With Magellan as the one that they up against, they need more than just luck.

Loveline

 I can't say more about loveline since it never be my most interesting part of the book in each series i read, but this series instead of one, got three loveline in here. Kady and Ezra after post break-up going back together after all the struggle they has been through. She is the brain, he is the muscle here. 

Hanna in other hand is the muscle AND the brain in the second book. But Nik is just a sweet boy surprisingly with how hard life in his days. Nik is just witty and fun completes Hanna's seriousness. I think Ezra and Nik are in same level for being such a sweet boy here. Neck to Neck. Same level. Well, you got the idea. 

Asha in other hand with Rhys are just kind of enemy to lovers in here since Rhys is in the other side of the team, BeiTech's soldier. But they got history before, i guess Asha and Rhys just gone "too wild" before Asha's parents send her to live with Kady because of their relationship. 

Rhys being the new soldier in  Kerenza gave us the other side point of view in returns. How it felt to be the soldier of the bad company that killed lots of people. But soldiers are just pebbles, they can be easily removed. They only doing what they told to do, but also in other hand questioning their morality for easily shoot citizen.

But apart from that three couple, i see this special relationship between AIDAN and Kady. AIDAN who is the first to recognize Kady's ability, and then also Kady who kind of the one that made AIDAN change into a better AI (in my honest opinion). I even shed tears because of this AI. Like i said in the Gemina book review, i think i have a thing with AI whenever i encounter them.

 From the series you might know already why AIDAN did what he has done. Its first objective is to keep people in the fleet save and arrive in Heimdall station away from Lincoln. But in the road of it killed lots people. And by the end of the series its objective changes into keeping Kady save. Who said an AI can't love someone?

Villain

In the second book we got BeiTech army lead by Travis Falk and his three groups. But also the monster, worm like kind of creature that can cause hallucinations, even worse, death. In the third book we find out that once again AIDAN strikes with mass murdering half of population in Mao fleet and not only that, the survivor from Heimdall station also tried to took control Mao too. So yeah, we got lots of enemy in same time. 

In Conclusion

 I think this would be the first time i would say this third book here didn't get it perks, not as lucky number three nor cuz it's a finale. If i have to pick i like Gemina the most in the series. Yes, i shed tears in this book unlike other two but i think the adventure of the main characters here, Asha and Rhys are a bit overshadowed by Kady's adventure in Mao. It was an Uh Yeah read for me tho. Highly recommend this series for you to read. So, go read them!!
